What alert types does MarketPulse support?
MarketPulse supports four alert types: Price Cross, Simple Moving Average (SMA), Exponential Moving Average (EMA), and Relative Strength Index (RSI). Each is fully configurable with your choice of indicator period, timeframe, direction, and threshold.
Which assets can I set alerts on?
You can set alerts on stocks listed on NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX, as well as a wide range of cryptocurrencies — all managed from a single app.
How fast are alerts delivered?
Push notifications are sent as soon as the condition is evaluated server-side. MarketPulse processes conditions in near real-time, so you're notified the moment the market moves through your threshold.
Does the app work in the background?
Yes. All alert evaluation happens on our servers and is delivered via push notification (Firebase Cloud Messaging). MarketPulse does not need to be open or running in the foreground to receive alerts.
What is the difference between SMA and EMA?
SMA gives equal weight to every candle in the selected period. EMA applies exponential weighting, so more recent candles have greater influence — making EMA more responsive to recent price action. EMA is generally better for shorter-term signals; SMA for longer-term trend identification.
What does RSI measure, and what thresholds should I use?
RSI measures price momentum on a scale from 0 to 100. Traditional thresholds are: below 30 signals a potentially oversold condition, and above 70 signals a potentially overbought condition. These are starting points — adjust them to fit your strategy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed entirely through Google Play. Open the Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MarketPulse → Cancel subscription.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account from within the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm. All personal data is removed within 30 days. For full details and an email fallback, see our Delete Account page.
